Connor McDavid has joined an elite NHL club. The Oilers captain scored his 400th career goal Tuesday night in a 5-2 win. The milestone came on a critical go-ahead goal, adding another chapter to his legendary career.
The achievement highlights his offensive brilliance. The Oilers took on the Utah Mammoth and secured a convincing 5-2 win on Tuesday night. Connor McDavid, in that game, scored twice and helped his team to victory. He also completed 400 goals in his career in that game.
Utah’s Lawson Crouse equalled the score at 2-2 in the second period. McDavid’s moment came 8 seconds just after that goal from Lawson. He capitalized on a 2-on-1 opportunity and fired a shot that struck the crossbar before bouncing into the net.
Later, McDavid scored one more goal, which was his 401st goal. He has achieved a milestone that places him among the league’s elite scorers.
In his career so far, McDavid has played 784 games (regular season) and scored 401 goals. He also completed 1200 points in this match, having 799 assists.
This season, he has played 72 games and scored 40 goals and contributed 78 assists.
