Jessie Pierce's Husband Opens Up On His Wife and Children's Death

Mike Hinrichs, husband of the late Jessi Pierce, has responded to the tragic incident that happened on March 21, 2026. He is devastated by the unthinkable death of his wife and his three children.

Mike Hinrichs said he has lost a friend in Jessi. He also said the kids had gone too soon.

“We have lost a beautiful wife, daughter, sister, and friend in Jessi, and three amazing children who were the light of our lives, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery, whose lives were all taken too soon,” Hinrichs said.

Mike was not present when the incident took place early on the morning of March 21, 2026. For business purposes, he was out of town at that time.

After this tragic incident, a fundraiser was started to help Mike Hinrichs and his family. According to the reports, a total of $220,000 has been raised as of Friday morning. A few NHL teams, including the Minnesota Wild, have contributed to this fundraiser.

Hinrichs thanked every concerned entity for this support in these hard times. “We thank everyone for the extraordinary amount of love and support during this difficult time.”

“From the fire departments and first responders to the White Bear Lake and Mahtomedi communities to the Minnesota Wild, the NHL, local hockey communities, and the nationwide support, we are grateful for the outpouring of compassion we have received.

Mike Hinrichs Asked For Privacy After Unthinkable Loss

In the end, Mike Hinrichs asked for privacy for his family in this tough phase. “We ask for continued privacy during this extremely difficult time as we grieve this unthinkable loss.”

Earlier, the incident took place on March 21 at White Bear Lake. Early in the morning, the neighbors were the first to spot something unusual. They saw the flames and called 911.

When the firefighters arrived at the location, it was already too late as Jessi Pierce and her three children were found dead along with the house dog.

The investigation is still going on. But the initial investigation ruled out any intentional fire.

Jessi Pierce was a sports journalist and was covering the Wild for NHL.com for the last 10 seasons. She has been an important part of the hockey fraternity, and many individuals and teams responded to her tragic loss.
