NHL Playoffs: Results, Scorers & May 2 Schedule

The NHL Playoffs keep bringing high drama as the first round is about to end, and the second round starts to form. As of May 2, most series have finished, but one big Game 7 is still left, and new matchups have already begun.

The biggest unfinished business is between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Montreal Canadiens. Tampa Bay forced a Game 7 by winning Game 6 with a 1–0 overtime win.

Both teams played strong defense and got great goaltending, making the series very tight. The winner on May 03 will face the Buffalo Sabres in the second round.

Meanwhile, the second round of the NHL Playoffs starts with an exciting matchup between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Game 1 will take place on May 2, and Carolina enters the series as the favorite.

Another highly anticipated second-round series features the Colorado Avalanche against the Minnesota Wild.

This series starts on May 3. Colorado has a slight edge because of its strong offense and experience. But Minnesota’s solid defense makes it a tough and dangerous opponent.

So, the second round of the NHL Playoffs has started even before the first round has fully finished.

The May 2 schedule features Game 1 between Carolina and Philadelphia, marking the transition into the next phase of the playoffs.

NHL Playoffs: Leading scorers and other team results in Round 1

The NHL Playoffs tracker also shows the top scorers of the postseason along with results and schedules. Leon Draisaitl is leading the chart with 10 points in 6 games, showing a very strong performance.

Just behind him, several players are tied with 9 points in 6 games, including Matt Boldy, Matt Duchene, Kirill Kaprizov, Jackson LaCombe, and Jack Eichel.

This means many players are playing very well and scoring points for their teams, making the playoffs exciting and competitive.

Earlier, there were a few teams that swept their opponents in the first round, and a few won the series after a close-fought series.

The Buffalo Sabres won 4-2 against the Boston Bruins, sealing round one by winning Game 6 4-1.

The Carolina Hurricanes and the Colorado Avalanche swept the Ottawa Senators and the Los Angeles Kings, respectively.

With the Flyers and the Wild winning 4-2 against the Penguins and the Stars, they have also entered Round Two.

The same goes for the Knights and the Ducks, as both won 4-2 against the Utah and the Oilers.

With high-stakes games, standout individual performances, and closely contested series, the NHL playoffs continue to captivate fans and build momentum toward the Stanley Cup.
