Wayne Gretzky Sells Palm Beach Mansion for $6.4 Million

Wayne Gretzky may be a legend on the ice, but his recent decision to sell his Palm Beach mansion for a staggering $6.4 million also displayed his business-minded approach. He purchased the property for $4.5 million in 2022 from his son-in-law, golfer Dustin Johnson, meaning he earned a profit of about $1.9 million.

Johnson, who is married to Gretzky’s supermodel daughter Paulina, had initially bought the property for $2.9 million six years before selling it to his father-in-law.

Gretzky and his wife, Janet, had purchased it four years ago to stay in close touch with their kids and grandkids in Florida. For that, they had even sold their Westlake Village mansion in 2021 for $17.6 million in California.

According to Realtor.com, Gretzky had listed the Palm Beach mansion in November 2025 with an initial asking price of around $8.9 million. He had adjusted the asking price down to $7.8 million in March 2026 after struggling to find a suitable buyer for the property.

Ultimately, the decision was made to accept the offer for a far lesser number than the latest asking price, down by around $1.4 million. The property was set to go under contract very soon.

According to the records pertaining to the sale deed, the ownership was transferred on June 1 of this year.

Notably, this Palm Beach mansion has a whopping five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It also boasts a living space of more than 7,100 square feet, apart from a private Intracoastal Waterway frontage taking 90 feet of space.

Where is Wayne Gretzky going to live after vacating his Palm Beach mansion?

It is understood that Wayne Gretzky is planning to stay in the Palm Beach area in Florida after vacating his newly sold mansion, as per Realtor.com. The four-time Stanley Cup winner has another property in the same area in the Sunshine State, nowhere near as big as the one he offloaded.

In 2021, he bought a mansion, consisting of five bedrooms, for $1.58 million.

After Gretzky launched a hockey camp at Palm Beach Gardens IcePlex along with his son Ty, who is an ex-hockey pro, it might not be a tough decision for him. This place is conveniently just a few minutes away from the five-bedroom property he currently owns.

Moreover, the hockey camp hosted by the NHL legend and his son is a part of their Gretzky Hockey School company.

At the same time, Gretzky’s daughter, Paulina, currently lives with Dustin Johnson at a massive 10,100 square feet mansion in Jupiter, Florida. It was purchased by the couple for $14 million just prior to selling the Palm Beach mansion to Gretzky in 2021.
